I’m extremely proud of the children’s book I did with my husband, Roger Roth—Star of the Week: A Story of Love, Adoption, and Brownies with Sprinkles. It was a true labor of love.
With Jane Pauley at a Women in Communications event, where I received the Clarion Award for most improved publication (Best for Women magazine).
About Me
For three decades I worked for an international women’s organization. I oversaw all marketing and communications, and managed the communications team. I served as the primary writer and editor, as well as providing the framework for the organization’s public relations and marketing strategies. My greatest achievement was serving as the architect of LiveYourDream.org, an innovative online community.
Prior to this position, I served as editor in the national headquarters of a land title insurance company. I also taught English to middle schoolers, worked as a reporter for a local paper, had a blog, and ran my own speechwriting business.
I earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh in secondary English education, and a master’s in journalism and public relations from Temple University in Philadelphia.
I live outside of Philadelphia with my husband Roger Roth, a children’s book illustrator and former college professor. We have three dogs: Nellie, Drizzle and Poppy. Our daughter, on whom we based our book, graduated from Penn State’s College of Engineering, and is happily working as a railroad design engineer in Raleigh, NC.
